Art is my way of seeing and remembering the world around me. Through painting and drawing, I capture memories, experiences, and the people I encounter, portraying them in a way that feels deeply personal. Each piece I create reflects a moment or feeling, reinterpreted through my eyes.
I’m still in the early stages of my artistic journey, having recently transitioned from a fast-paced entrepreneurial career into this more intuitive and reflective practice. My current work primarily involves watercolor and oil painting on paper, canvas, or wood panels. However, I’m always exploring new mediums and surfaces to expand my expression. Charcoal, especially for figure drawing, has become a favorite of mine because of its raw, bold texture. Each medium, to me, offers a unique way of interpreting the same reality, often overlapping and blending in unexpected ways.
Originally from Uruguay, I now live in Toronto, Canada. Having lived in various countries across Latin America, I’ve been shaped by the richness of our continent's cultures and landscapes. These experiences, along with my perspective as a foreigner and immigrant, are woven into my work, reflecting the duality of belonging and displacement, rootedness and transition.
I invite you to join me as I continue to explore and grow as an artist. Whether through my evolving work or personal reflections, I hope to share pieces of this journey with you. Follow along as I discover new ways to express the world around me—one painting at a time.
